Performances
The Harford Ballet Company is a classical and contemporary ballet company, which presents two major productions annually in addition to performing at numerous outreach events and community festivals. Each HBC performance is designed to enhance thecultural and educational experience of both children and adults while showcasing the talent of HBC Dancers.
HBC has developed a unique, audience interactive performance style that is geared toward children, but has also enchanted adults in the Harford County community. Each production includes a segment designed to allow children in the audience to feel that they are part of the show. After each show, children are afforded the chance to meet and interact with the still-costumed cast members.
HBC has also been able to attract professional guest artists from companies such as the New York City Ballet and the Pennsylvania Ballet. These guests offer high- caliber dancing that is difficult to find in the state of Maryland. The Harford Ballet Company’s creative, interactive approach and ability to attract professional guest artists provides new and seasoned audience members with a chance to be inspired by the magic of theater and the art of dance.
