Contemporary/Urban Showcase - Sunday, April 18
Dance Conservatory of Maryland Campus
Harford Ballet Company will present a showcase performance featuring works inspired by contemporary and urban styles. The performance will include the premier of a comissioned work by Katherine Richardson and a premier of a new work by resident choreographer Shana O'Brien. Dance Conservatory of Maryland students will be invited to participate in this upbeat, and entertaining display of hip hop, modern, lyrical and contemporary dance forms. Sleeping Beauty
Thi performance will feature the full professional and pre-professional divisions of HBC as well as students from the Dance Conservatory of Maryland. Our mixed bill program will present three world premier works choreographed by guest professionals Katherine Richardson of KerPlunk Dance Company, Bruce Thornton of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Resident Choreographer Shana O' Brien. HBC will also present their adaptation of the beloved fairy tale Sleeping Beauty.
